Marie carried the dream of writing around in her back pocket for about two decades. In Spring 2021, she took it out, dusted it off, and here we are.

 

Although she has always written in one form or another, Marie hadn't attempted publication in any major sense, until this year. If you search very very hard, you might find traces of a local radio poetry competition win, at some point in the 2000s, and a smattering of pieces in university-published anthologies, 20-ish years ago, as a student.

 

Marie is lucky enough to be part of Team Sledge at Sledgehammer Lit, where she dabbles in social media, reading, feedback and proofing.

2021 has proved to be a wonderful rollercoaster of a writing year for Marie, and is hopefully just the beginning.
